The NFL has announced it has penalized the Atlanta Falcons organization for tampering with former Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. Tampering is the act of an organization speaking with or negotiating with a free agent before the league designated appropriate time. According to the NFL it has taken away the Falcons fifth round draft pick in 2025 and ordered the organization to pay a $250,000 fine. The Falcons GM Terry Fontenot has also personally been fined by the league for $50,000.
