Northern alum Sundance Wicks named Wyoming head men’s basketball coach

Northern State alum Wicks has been named the latest head coach at Division I University of Wyoming. Wicks played for Northern under legendary head coach Don Meyer between 1999 to 2003. He served as an assistant coach at Northern under Paul Sather from 2016 to 2018. From there he would becoming the head coach at Missouri Western and the University of Wisconsin Green Bay before getting the job in Laramie. He replaces Jeff Linder who resigned this past season to take an assistant coaching position at Texas Tech.
