Northern State football selected to finish seventh in NSIC pre-season coach’s poll

Northern State has been picked to finish seventh in the NSIC according to the NSIC pre-season coach’s poll released Monday. Bemidji State was selected as the league favorite by the coaches receiving four first place votes and 131 poll points. Rounding off the top five in order include Minnesota State Mankato, Wayne State, Augustana and Minnesota Duluth. Bemidji State quarterback Brandon Alt has been named the pre-season offensive player of the year, while Northern defensive lineman Ian Marshall has been named the defensive player of the year.
