Northern State redshirt-junior Kailee Oliverson named NSIC north division player of the week

For the third time in her career, Northern State redshirt-junior Kailee Oliverson has been named as the NSIC North Division Player of the Week by the league office. After averaging a double-double during a weekend sweep of Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston, Oliverson joins Laurie Rogers as the second women’s basketball player to earn conference player of the week honors this season.

– Averaged a double-double with 16.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in a pair of wins
– Added 3.0 blocked shots and 1.0 assist per game
– Shot 11-of-27 (40.7%) from the field and 10-of-13 (76.9%) from the free throw line
– Scored 21 points and added a career-high 16 rebounds in a 62-54 win over BSU
– Added 12 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in a 75-60 win over UMC
– Now has six double-doubles this season
– Has scored in double figures in nine consecutive games and 20 total this season
