Northern State wrestling ranked #18 in recent National Wrestling Coaches’ Association poll

The National Wrestling Coaches’ Association released their updated team and individual rankings today with Northern State sitting in the top-20 nationally with two individually ranked wrestlers. The Wolves remained in 18th overall with 28 team points.

Wyatt Turnquist and Devin Bahr are ranked at 149 and 157 pounds, coming in at No. 2 and No. 4 respectively. Turnquist holds a 19-3 record overall this season, while Bahr is 14-3.

In the team standings, Northern is joined by NSIC opponents No. 4 Parkside, No. 5 St. Cloud State, No. 13 UMary, No. 14 Augustana, No. 25 Southwest Minnesota State, and (RV) Minot State. The Wolves face off against the Huskies this Thursday, while the Marauders and Rangers come to Aberdeen next Friday and Saturday.
