One person was killed Friday northeast of Langford in a farm equipment accident. According to the Department of Public Safety, a 21-year-old female was operating a sprayer when the boom of the equipment caught on a freight liner Cacadia semi-truck and trailer. The truck was parked at the time of the accident on a minimum maintenance road. The spraying equipment struck the trailer then struck a 45-year-old male who was standing next to the trailer. The male was pronounced dead while being transported to the hospital while the 21-year-old female was uninjured. The names of those involved have not yet been released.
