One person is dead following a mobile home fire in Brookings Saturday. According to Fire and Rescue, first responders responded to a call about a mobile home fire around 5:15 a.m. Saturday. The fire was located in the 500 block of 12 street south. While fighting the fire, crews found a deceased individual within the residence. The fire remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Brookings police department at 692-2113.
