One person died on Sunday evening in a one-vehicle crash north of Sisseton, S.D.
The name of the person involved has not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates that a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling south on S.D. Highway 127 near mile marker 215 when the vehicle attempted to pass another vehicle. The driver of the Tahoe lost control of the vehicle, entered the west ditch, hit a field approach, went airborne and rolled.
The 25-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol use is under investigation.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
