One person was killed and two others injured in a home explosion west of Humbolt Wednesday morning. According to authorities, it is believed the explosion occurred after 5:00 a.m. Wednesday. Nothing is left of the house. Humboldt is located in Minnehaha county, approximately 24 miles northwest of Sioux Falls. The two injured victims needed to be air lifted via a helicopter to a Sioux Falls Hospital. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
