One tax cut remains alive and will be debated this week in the state senate

(WNAX – Yankton, SD) The only sales tax cut proposal still alive in the South Dakota legislature will start moving through a Senate committee this week.

Senate President-pro-tem Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown says he is being persuaded on the tax cut…

The bill under debate would cut the general sales tax rate by three tenths of a percent.

Schoenbeck says the ongoing budget has to stay in the black…

State revenues would be cut just over one hundred million dollars with the rate cut.
