PC Names Erin Skinner next head softball coach

Presentation College has hired its new softball coach in Erin Skinner. Skinner replaces Mari Jordan who resigned in May to pursue her Masters. The Saints softball team finished 12-30 last season.

“I am extremely grateful to be named the next head softball coach for Presentation College. I would like to thank Marcus Garstecki and the interview committee for believing in me. The investment and pride in Presentation College softball and athletics was easy to feel and see from the beginning. I can’t wait to get started and be a part of the Saints family” said Skinner about getting started at Presentation College.

Skinner comes to PC after a year at Lyon College as the Assistant Softball Coach. Prior to that, she spent two years at Doane University as a graduate assistant

“We are thrilled to have Coach Skinner joining Presentation College. Her previous coaching experiences, including in this region, have really prepared her to lead our softball program moving forward. Through the search process Coach Skinner continually demonstrated enthusiasm for leading the PC softball program. Everyone she met with during her time on campus immediately noticed her passion. I look forward to watching our student-athletes develop on the field, in the classroom, and in the community under her leadership” said Presentation College Executive Vice President for Campus Operations, Marcus Garstecki.

Prior to coaching, Skinner played collegiately at Lindenwood University-Belleville. There, she was a four-year recipient of the American Midwest Conference All-Academic team. Additionally, she was twice named a Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete, in 2018 and 2019.
