Pennington County State’s Attorney confirms Mitchell Legion baseball investigation looking into allegations of sexual assault

The Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office has released more information regarding the investigation into the Mitchell Legion Baseball team. According to investigators, the player misconduct they are looking into involves allegations of sexual assault. Pennington County along with the DCI is looking into the situation because the alleged assault occurred in Pennington County. The Mitchell Baseball Association suspended all team activities last month and terminated the rest of the season last week after Attorney General Marty Jackley released a letter confirming there was an ongoing investigation into the matter.
