Protecting South Dakota’s Kids, a grassroots organization seeking to defeat IM27, has begun its campaign. IM27 if passed would legalize recreational marijuana for adults 21 years or older.

Voters in South Dakota legalized recreational marijuana with the passage of Amendment A in 2020. However, that Amendment was struck down by the Supreme Court, citing the state’s single issue clause in its constitution.
Despite this, Kinyon says South Dakotan’s are waking up to the potential dangers of legalizing marijuana….
Voters will decide the fate of IM27 this November.
