Rapid City man indicted in the death of a Native American trans woman

A Rapid City man has been indicted on 1st degree manslaughter charges in connection to the death of 30-year-old Acey Morrison. Prosecutors allege 53-year-old Gregory Landers shot and killed Morrison, a Native American transwoman, at his residents in Rapid City on August 21st 2022. He also faces ingestion of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by one with a prior drug conviction. Landers was arrested Wednesday by the U.S. Marshal Service who found him in Decatur Indiana.
