Recalled state Dem party chair Jennifer Slaight-Hansen to appeal decision

Recalled South Dakota Democrat State Party chair and Aberdeen resident Jennifer Slaight-Hansen has field an appeal regarding her recall earlier this month. The state party executive board met Saturday August 19^th in Pierre and voted unanimously to recall her from the position. The move comes a midst allegations Slaight-Hansen broke party rules and created a hostile work environment. While Slaight-Hansen acknowledged she hired some workers without first getting approval of the executive board, she denies creating a hostile work environment. The party will meet Wednesday to appoint an appeals committee to evaluate her appeal.
