According to South Dakota Game Fish and Parks a record number of people attended the 58th annual Buffalo Roundup at Custer State Park last Friday. 22,590 people attended the annual celebration of the western way of life, breaking the previous record of 22,078 visitors back in 2015. At the event 60 horseback riders wrangled a heard of 1,500 bison into the corrals for their annual health check. In November, approximately 500 buffalo will be sold at the park’s annual auction.
