Residents express concerns over Summit Carbon Solutions survey work to Brown County Commission

Several landowners and concerned citizens spoke during the public comment portion of the Brown County Commission’s regular meeting Tuesday. The bulk of the public comment had to do with Summit Carbon Solutions performing unwanted surveying work on landowners property.

Specifically, Summit worked on the land of Jared Bossly last week. Bossly is a Brown County landowner who faced contempt of court charges regarding Summit’s surveying work. He was found not to be in contempt of court, but the judge in that case did remind Bossly and other landowners Summit has a court order to do surveying work with or without their permission.

Bossly claims Summit was there doing drilling work and dumped the waste in they left…

Bossly along with others who spoke to the commission urged the Brown County State’s Attorney, county commissioners or state lawmakers to attempt and step up to protect landowners through this process.

Brown County resident Dennis Feickert says landowners are late in these legal requests so its up to the Public Utilities Commission if it wants to curtail Summit’s efforts…

Spink county farmer Ed Fiscbach was on the scene of the drilling of Bossly’s land last Tuesday and accused Summit Carbon Solutions of lying about its survey work…
