Roberts county woman facing animal neglect charges for second time in less than two years

A Roberts county woman is facing animal neglect charges for the second time in less than a year. According to court documents 26-year-old Shania Loney was allegedly found recently with 8 animals in her home who appeared to be suffering from neglect. The documents claim the animals were extremely malnourished and several cats and dogs had tapeworms. Last summer, Loney was accused of neglecting 23 animals including seven cats, three kittens, eight dogs, three sugar glider squirrels and two rabbits. That case is still pending. According to the Roberts County Sheriff’s office Loney is out on bond, but per conditions of her release she is not allowed to have any animals in her home.
