The 2023 NBA draft lottery took place last night and now both rounds of the draft are set. Winning the draft lottery was the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have the first chance to draft star French prospect Victor Wembanyama, the 7’4 combo forward widely considered the top pick in this year’s draft. Behind the Spurs rounding off the top five in order include Charlotte, Portland, Houston and Detroit. The Minnesota Timberwolves hold the 16th overall pick, however due to the Rudy Gobert trade this past offseason the rights to that pick go to the Utah Jazz.
