Scotty’s Diner in Aberdeen to close permanently, reopen as Aberdeen Catering Company

The Doeden investment group, the group which owns Scotty’s Diner in Aberdeen and re-opened it with an 80s theme has announced the restaurant is closing its doors permanently. In its place will be the Aberdeen Catering Company effective June 1^st. Scotty’s Diner in Aberdeen has undergone dozens of ownership changes and business revamps since the location opened in the 1960s. The Diner had announced it was temporarily closing its doors about a month ago with hopes to reopen as Scotty’s Diner, but according to a release from the Doeden Investment group the business was not financially feasible.
