SD Board of Regents name Brian Tande as next president of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology

The South Dakota Board of Regents has announced Brian Tande has been named the next president of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City. Tande is an engineering academic from the University of North dakota and will replace Jim Rankin who retired last summer. He currently serves as the dean of the College of Engineering and Mines at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He has been serving in that role for the past five years.
