South Dakota’s public universities grew by five percent in 2023 based on enrollment data released by the South Dakota Board of Regents Wednesday. Its the third consecutive year of enrollment growth. In total there are 36,091 students enrolled at South Dakota’s six public universities. Northern State University grew by 5.3 percent according to the data. That’s 3,708 students currently enrolled making it the fourth largest University by student population in the state.
