A South Dakota State cornerback has been arrested on petty theft charges. According to the Brookings County State’s Attorney’s office, Malik Lofton was arrested this week on two counts of second degree petty theft. No further details were released other than his initial court appearance will be on January 23rd. The arrest comes just three days before the Jacks are scheduled to take on Holy Cross in the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs. So far this season Lofton has played in 12 games recording 18 total tackles and one interception.
