Senator Thune answers senate race questions at the Brown County Fair

South Dakota Senator John Thune visited the Brown County Fair this week and met with constituents as he faces a re-election race this coming November. Aberdeen native and Democrat Brian Bengs is challenging him for one of South Dakota’s two senate seats.

Bengs has accused Thune of being a “creature of Washington” and out of touch with regular South Dakota voters. Thune admits he has served South Dakota in office for a while now, but he is still in touch with his home state and effective in getting results…

Bengs has also accused Thune of ducking debate challenges between the two candidates. Senator Thune disputed those allegations, saying a debate between the two is in the works, but right now he is focusing on talking with South Dakota voters…

In the end Senator Thune says there will be two clear visions voters will get to choose between…
