South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds announced via his social media Tuesday he has undergone successful but unexpected eye surgery. According to the post, the senator says while recovering from surgery he needs to maintain consistent pressure on his eye. This means for the time being he is grounded from flying on airplanes and even trips to Rapid City and its higher elevation are not allowed. Senator Rounds will be recovering at home as he goes onto say during this time he will miss votes in Washington D.C. But looks forward to returning to the nation’s capital in the coming weeks.
