Sioux Falls Police have identified the person killed in a stabbing incident over the weekend that set a new record for homicides in one year within the city. The new record is 14, up from the previous record of 13 set in 2020. According to police 25-year-old Aidan Quick Bear of Sioux Falls was killed Saturday morning just after 12:45 a.m. Police were called to the 500 block of South Duluth Avenue in central Sioux Falls on reports of a stabbing. Police do have a suspect in this case but their identity has not yet been released.
