Sioux Falls woman sentenced to two 50-year sentences in arson case that lead to one person’s death

A Sioux Falls woman received two 50-year prison sentences to be served concurrently in a arson case that lead to the death of one person. 35-year-old Gerri Jensen pleaded guilty to starting a fire in July of 2022 at an apartment complex that ultimately killed 53-year-old Charice Admire. Jensen got into a fight with a different woman at a bar earlier in the evening on that night and proceeded to try and start her apartment building on fire. Admire was not involved in the situation in anyway. The judge sentenced Jensen on first-degree manslaughter and first-degree arson charges.
