Sisseton man sentenced to 40 years in federal prison on fentanyl charges

A Sisseton man has been sentenced to federal prison on fentanyl charges. According to the US Attorney for south Dakota 32-year-old Jevon McLeod will serve 40 years behind bars, which is the maximum sentence. The sentence stems from charges last summer in Watertown. Court documents allege McLeod admitted to driving to other states to bring back the substance to South Dakota. He was arrested along with another Sisseton resident and two Watertown residents also involved in the conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.
