A missing snowmobiler’s body was recovered from Bitter Lake in northeast South Dakota Monday. According to the Day county Sheriff’s office, on Sunday authorities were notified of a missing person snowmobiling south of Waubay who had not been heard from since the early afternoon.
Using the last ping on his cell phone authorities were able to get a general location to begin the search. Monday morning Authorities were able toe recover the body of a snowmobiler from Bitter Lake. No charges are pending and the identity of the victim was not released.
The victim has since been identified by family on Social media as Ben Jorgenson.
