The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has announced sobriety checkpoints across the state for the month of February. The 12 checkpoints will be held in Beadle, Bennett, Brookings, Charles Mix, Clay, Codington, Lawrence, Lincoln, Pennington, Roberts, Spink and Walworth counties. The check points are conducted by the State Highway Patrol and are used to deter driving under the influence.
