Sobriety checkpoints scheduled across South Dakota this month

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety has announced sobriety checkpoints will be conducted across the state throughout the month of October. Sobriety checkpoints are conducted by the state highway patrol and used to deter driving under the influence. Counties with checkpoints scheduled this month include Brown, Charles Mix, Lincoln, Brookings, Pennington, Butte, Codington, Hughes, Minnehaha, Roberts, Spink, Lawrence, Meade, Jones, Fall River, Stanley, Davison and Jerauld.
