A South Dakota man was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the death of a woman in March of 2022. According to court documents 24-year-old Jackson Phillips was sentenced Friday to life in prison regarding the murder of 20-year-old Randi Gerlach in March of 2022. According to court documents Gerlach’s body was found in the basement of a house along highway 11 on the southern edge of Sioux Falls. Phillips was a person of interest in the case as he had violated a no-contact order prior to the murder.
