South Dakota native and reigning WNBA coach of the year Becky Hammon has been suspended by the league for two games due to allegations she bullied a pregnant former player. The suspension comes after her team, the Las Vegas Aces conducted a months long investigation into the matter. The investigation began when the victim, Dearia Hamby alleged she was bullied and manipulated by Hammon for being pregnant. The WNBA determined the actions violated the league’s respect in the workplace policies and rescinded the Ace’s first-round pick in the 2025 draft.
