South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has announced the state of South Dakota will receive a share of $495 million in a multi-state settlement from a software company data breach in 2020. Jackley says South Dakota will receive upwards of $372 thousand. The lawsuit was brought on by 49 states against software company Blackbaud who allowed millions of consumer’s personal and financial information to be exposed throughout the United States.
