The window to apply for South Dakota’s new medicaid expansion is now open. The enrollment period began Thursday and applicants should have their application turned into the state by July 1st. Over an estimated 50,000 people are now eligible to receive medicaid following the voter approved constitutional amendment D passed last November. A family of four earning $41,400 or less will qualify under the new guidelines.
