South Dakota’s longest serving circuit court judge Jon Flemmer dies at 66

South Dakota’s longest serving circuit court judge passed away last week. According to the South Dakota Unified Judicial System Judge Jon Flemmer passed away in his home in Webster. He was 66 years old. A cause of death was not given. Flemmer graduated from the University of South Dakota law school in 1981 and served in private practice before being elected as Clark County State’s attorney in 1984. He was appointed magistrate judge in the 5th judicial circuit in 1991 and became a circuit court judge in 1999.
