Spearfish man faces mandatory life sentence after being found guilty of murdering his wife

A Spearfish man has been convicted of murder in the death of his wife back in 2022. According to the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office 33-year-old Dreau L. Rogers was found guilty last Thursday of second degree murder. He was also found guilty of six drug-related charges and five charges being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon. Rogers killed his wife Destiny on January 22nd, 2022 at a residence in Spearfish. Rogers will be sentenced on January 2nd in a Deadwood court room. He faces a mandatory life in prison sentence.
