The South Dakota Department of Revenue has announced the 2024 Sturgis motorcycle Rally generated the state almost $1.4 million in tax revenue. Revenue from temporary vendors in the Black Hills were down approximately 3 percent from 2023 according to the report. The 2024 rally had 896 temporary vendors which is 17 less than in 2023. The rally itself was up three percent attendance wise according to the department of Transportation. 470,987 vehicles entered Sturgis between august 2nd through the 11th, a larger number of those visiting the first Saturday.
