Summit Carbon provides update on easement agreements in several SD counties

Summit Carbon Solutions, the company attempting to build a carbon capture pipeline across a large part of northeast and central South Dakota posted to Twitter recently an update on easement agreements in certain counties. According to the company, it claims it has secured 100 percent of the necessary easements for the proposed route in McCook county and is just under 90 percent of the way in Kingsbury and Clark County. The numbers also claim to show it has 77 percent of the necessary easements in Edmunds County. The company currently has an ongoing lawsuit against the Edmunds and Brown County Commissions over steps they have taken to slow the approval process down.
