Summit Carbon Solutions, the company seeking to build a CO2 storage pipeline through parts of South Dakota has filed a lawsuit against Brown and Edmunds counties. According to the Aberdeen American News, the suit takes issue with Brown Counties one year moratorium on permits for hazardous waste pipelines and in Edmunds county the large increase in permit fees related to the construction of hazardous pipelines. The lawsuit claims both counties have violated federal law.
