Summit Carbon Solutions has announced it has received approval from the Iowa Utilities Board for its base pipeline project. According to a release from Summit about the approval, this is a significant milestone for the project. Summit is currently attempting to build an underground pipeline servicing 57 ethanol plants across five states to move liquid Co2 and sequester it underground in North Dakota. Also according to the release, Summit CEO Lee Blank says plans are in place to file a permit application with the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission in July.
