Just days after receiving permit approval from the North Dakota Public Services Commission, Summit Carbon Solutions has resubmitted its permit application to the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission. The permit is to build a Co2 Carbon Capture pipeline which would run through northeast South Dakota, ultimately sequestering liquid Co2 underground in North Dakota. The South Dakota PUC rejected Summit’s initial application more than a year ago. Summit’s latest proposed route includes 700 miles with connections to 14 ethanol plants in the eastern part of the state.
