Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady announced via his social media Wednesday morning his plans to retire from football. According to the post, this time its “for good.”
Brady is 45-year-old and played 23 NFL seasons. He won a record seven Super Bowls, six with New England and one with the Buccaneers.
Brady briefly retired in 2022 before returning for two more seasons with Tampa Bay.
Brady is the NFL’s career leader in passing yards (89,214) and touchdowns (649). He is the only player to win more than five Super Bowls and has been named league MVP five times.
