The Minnesota Timberwolves have released a statement in regards to star guard Anthony Edwards using homophobic language on social media. According to the Timberwolves, the organization is quote “disappointed in the language and actions Anthony Edwards displayed on social media.” The comments were posted on Edward’s instagram on Sunday and showed the basketball star calling a group of men “queer” and more. Edwards has publicly apologized for his statement saying it was quote “immature, hurtful and disrespectful.”
