Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer was voted by the baseball writers association to be inducted into the MLB hall of fame Tuesday. He headlines the class along with Todd Helton and Adrian Beltre. The three, along with Jim Leyland who was voted in by the Contemporary Baseball Era Non-Players Committee will be enshrined at an event in Cooperstown New York on July 21st. Mauer is just the third catcher to be nominated to the Hall of Fame along with Ivan Rodriguez and Johnny Bench.
