Twins place shortstop Carlos Correa on IL for rest of the regular season

Minnesota Twins short stop Carlos Correa has been placed on the injured reserve list for the rest of the regular season, but hopes to be ready come playoff time. Correa aggravated the planter fasciitis he has been battling in his left foot during Tuesday night’s win over the Cincinnati Reds. According to the Twins that planter faciitis has developed into a full tear of the central cortex of the fascia. However, the Twins organization and Correa himself are confident he will be ready come playoff season.
