The University of Minnesota and head football coach P.J. Fleck have come to terms on a contract extension. The deal was announced Wednesday and is a seven year extension, keeping him in the Twin Cities through the 2029 season. The financial terms of the deal were not immediately released. Fleck has the Gophers at 8-4 this season and the team will take part in the Pinstripe Bowl in New York City on December 29th vs. Syracuse. In six years at Minnesota Fleck has an overall record of 43-27. He is fifth all time on the Gophers win list and sixth in Gopher Big Ten wins with 26.
