The U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights has opened an investigation into allegations of hazing, harassment and retaliation at a South Dakota State University Fraternity House. According to the Dakota Scout the investigation is in regards to the Sigma Phi Delta chapter at South Dakota State. The probe alleges the University failed to take appropriate action to stop fraternity membership initiations that rose to the level of unlawful physical and mental abuse.
