Beginning today, first-class postage will increase in price. The U.S. Postal service announced effective Sunday July 10th, a “forever stamp” will cost 60 cents. That is a two cent price increase on first-class stamps. Other postal services are expected to cost more as well. According to the U.S. Postal Service, the increase amounts to about a 6.5 percent increase across the board. The Postal Service does point out however, the increase is running lower than inflation which is at about 8 percent.
