The Vermillion Police Department is investigating a stabbing within the city that left one person dead. According to Vermillion Police, officers responded to a call around 4:10 a.m. Sunday morning for a stabbing at a residence. Upon arrival, officers found a 47-year-old deceased male victim. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. 20-year-old Chezayia Liggins was arrested in regard to the stabbing and faces first-degree murder charges.
